My Happy Friends

Everything so fresh and green,
As though in this world it has never been;
Raindrops dripping from the leaf tip,
Like a girl escaping from her lover's grip;
The air grew cold and humid,
The fog in the air grew more fumid;
The sky became gloomy and pale,
The weather was so romantic like a fairy tale;
Could hear a distant bird caw,
I was looking from my window at the nature with awe;
Every minute thing caught my eye,
The raindrop on the leaf to the furry sky;
I coudn't say indoors anymore,
The nature invited me to explore;
I went out with my heart so light,
Before me was magical sight;
Of trees singing a song,
Inviting me to sing along;
The berry bush winked at me when i hummed a tune,
And my heart felt so fresh like the early moon;
I walked in a little pathway,
All along the magic in the air did stay;
Tiny little tree lizards stared at me,
A grasshopper hoped with joy so free;
The green bug flapped its wings with delight,
A golden drop of sun on the raindrop shined so bright;
I looked around every tiny creature and tree,
Everybody looked friendly, my heart leaped with glee;
They tried to tell me something,
I got the message thru wind's wing;
I agreed with them and nod my head,
They told me this joy to spread;
People are too busy,they don't care,
To get friends with nature,no time to spare;
So stand and smile at a tree,
You can feel it smiling back at you with glee;
Everything I want is here,
So I will miss no more;
So many friends nearby ,
To make my heart fly so high;
Every trees are my friends,
Every flower and creature that befriends;
Every angel with guarding wings,
Sent from God above and praises sings;
I looked up at the sky so blue,
God nodded at me,"I am there baby for you".....

I wrote this poem when I came to America during the first year of my marraige.It was raining outside and I was missing my friends and family in India.Suddenly the nature outside got so very beautiful and I couldn't stay inside.So I took a paper and a pen..Went out in the drizzle,sat under a huge tree and wrote this poem.God gave me so much peace and Joy that day and told me that my days here are going to be so blessed.Glad He is always there....
